iGoogle allows you to personalise the Google homepage so that at a glance you can see all the things your interested in on the net. When you have an iGoogle page, and are logged in with your free Google account, going to the Google site will bring up your iGoogle page.
You design your own iGoogle page by selecting one of the many themes and choosing what gadgets you would like displayed on the page. The regular Google search box will always appear at the top but underneath that you are able to add things like:
- A Wikipedia Search box
- A quick weather report from anywhere in the world
- News headings
- A to-do list
- A preview of your Gmail inbox
- Currency converter
- Youtube search box
- Joke of the day
There are literally hundreds on Gadgets to choose from and once you have selected the gadgets you want you can easily move them around the page into an order that suits you. Here is an example of an iGoogle page.
