Looking to rent or buy in a particular area? Google Maps New Zealand has just added a real estate search tool to their site that makes it easy to see what’s available within a certain area.
Here’s how it works
- Enter an area or street into the search box on maps.google.co.nz
- Click on Show search options next to the Search Maps button and select Real Estate from the Drop Down box.
- Then just click Search Maps.
Google Maps then displays all available listings on a map and allows you to refine your search by price, type of property, number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms, and parking options.
Details for each property including photos and links to the websites can be found in the sidebar. You can also easy select a property on the map and switch to street view and see what the rest of the street looks like.
Another great feature of this tool is that you can pan to different suburbs or zoom in or out and the property listings will automatically update.
